KEA Loses Current and Past Leaders During Delegate Assembly
Jon Henrikson, former KEA President, and Tamara Patterson, KEA Ethnic Minority Director, Seat 2, both passed in April
JON HENRIKSON
Jon Henrikson, age 80, of Blackey, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Jon served as president of KEA from 1982-86. He was active with KEA-Retired as well and also worked for Appalachian Volunteers.
TAMARA PATTERSON
Tamara Patterson, age 43, of Jefferson County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023. Tamara was elected as KEA Ethnic Minority Director, Seat 2, at KEA’s 151st Delegate Assembly. She was a former UniServ Director for KEA and served on numerous KEA, JCTA, school and professional boards, committees, and councils. She was a 4th grade elementary teacher in JCPS at the time of her passing.
