The TRS Member Nominating Committee is accepting nominations to fill seats for one (1) Active Teacher Trustee and one (1) Retired Teacher Trustee on the TRS Board of Trustees. The Active Teacher trustee must be an active, contributing participant in TRS. The Retired Teacher Trustee must be a retired TRS member currently receiving an annuity from TRS.

 All TRS trustee candidate nominations (Active or Retired) must be submitted through this portal and will be accepted until 5 pm Eastern on Friday, January 31, 2025.  Nominees may self-nominate or be nominated by another person. Nominees for the Active and Retired Teacher Trustee positions will be verified as participants of TRS. The TRS Member Nominating Committee will review all nominees who meet eligibility requirements at its meeting on February 8, 2025. The TRS Member Nominating Committee will select two (2) candidates for the Active Teacher Trustee seat and two (2) candidates for the Retired Teacher Trustee who will be placed on the ballot. Both seats are currently occupied by incumbents who are eligible for re-election. Click here to submit a nomination form. 

Voting for the TRS Board of Trustees will be administered by TRS and will occur during April and May 2025, with votes tabulated by the Department of Education. 

NOTE: The nomination form requires that you upload a recent resume, provide a short statement of interest, and provide a recent headshot, which will be used if selected to be on the ballot.
