How does math connect to Fine Arts? Patterns are everywhere in arts and music. The math standards place weight on patterns that form the basis for most concept development. By tying similarity, symmetry, and transformations to students’ experiences, they develop deeper understandings of math, art, and music. Participants will explore ideas that have come from a U.S. Department of Education grant administered by the Northern KY Cooperative for Educational Services program called The Northern KY Institute for Arts Education.
