The KEA Delegate Assembly will be held April 4-6, 2018 at the Marriott Louisville Downtown, 280 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, KY 40202.
All members are welcome to attend the Delegate Assembly as guests. Non-delegate visitors, including family members, do not have floor privileges and cannot sit with their districts, vote in elections or address the assembly. Visitor seating will be provided in another area of the assembly hall. Visitors must obtain a Guest badge from the registration area prior to being admitted into the assembly hall.

KEA Bylaws require that members who do not have their dues deducted through payroll deduction must be paid in full by March 15 in order to serve as a delegate. Please remember to bring your KEA membership card and a picture ID to use for registration. The schedule for registration is:
Wednesday, April 4
4:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. Registration of Delegates and Alternates
Thursday, April 5
8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Registration of Delegates and Alternates
Only those delegates who are properly registered by Thursday morning will be eligible to vote. The voting schedule and other pertinent information will be provided in your delegate packet once you register. The First Business Session of the DA will convene at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, April 4.
A copy of the minutes from the April 2017 Delegate Assembly will be distributed at your district pre-delegate caucus meeting so that you will have an opportunity to read them before the meeting. Please bring a copy with you to the Delegate Assembly because they will not be in the delegate packet. We look forward to seeing you there.

You will only serve as an official delegate if your local president requests that you do so. To be allowed to be recognized and register as a delegate, you must have your local president complete the official form, “Local President’s Designation of Alternate to the Delegate Assembly”, and present it when you register. Delegates being replaced by alternates must be replaced by alternates of the same educational position according to KEA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3(f):
f. Delegates to fill educational positions (i.e. supervisor or non-supervisor) may be replaced only by alternates of the same educational position. Delegates elected to fulfill ethnic minority requirements may be replaced only by ethnic minority alternates.
